Ablaze || StringWerkz @ Esplanade Recital Studio
Award winning huqin quintet StringWerkz presents Chinese string music in diverse musical styles and formats. Highlights include Singapore composer Phang Kok Jun’s chamber concerto for two erhus The Storytellers of Ann Siang Road, huqin quartet piece Ablaze by renowned German composer Robert Zollitsch, and a newly commissioned work by established Singapore composer Dr Zechariah Goh.

Formed in 2012 and mentored by renowned erhu musician Zhang Yu Ming, StringWerkz is a Chinese string quintet comprising huqin players Wong Qin Kai, Shunta Goh, Chia Wanhua, Rozie Hoong, and cellist Eunice Koh. All of them graduated from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, and have won awards at the National Chinese Music Competition and the 3rd Terem Crossover International Music Competition.
